Heat 1 cup milk in microwave
Heat ½ cup butter in microwave until melted
Combine heated milk and butter and mix in ¼ cup sugar – make sure sugar is dissolved (set aside)
Combine:
1 Tbs. yeast
1 Tbs. sugar
¾ cup warm water
Let stand for 10 minutes (until foamy)
Pour yeast mixture into milk mixture and blend.
Add:
1 ½ cups flour
1 egg
Continue adding 2-4 cups (more if needed) flour until dough forms.
Cover and let rise for 1 hour.
Separate dough in 3 sections and then each section into 3 more.
Melt 1 cube butter add 1 Tbs. garlic salt and 2 Tbs. parmesan cheese.
Braid dough and brush on butter mixture (you might not use all the mixture just cover the bread and throw the rest out).
Bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes.

Cornbread
2 sticks of butter (melted)
1 cup sugar
3 eggs
1 1/2 cups milk
3 cups bisquick
1/2 cup cornmeal
3/4 tsp baking powder
Mix all ingredients together with a mixer. Pour into a greased 9x13 baking dish. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 35 minutes.
